My name is Ana Estrella, this is my 26th year teaching, 13th year at Barnard. I have taught Middle School Math and Science, Technology Education K- 8th, Spanish Immersion, and regular English. I spent 3 years teaching English Immersion in China. I have 3 children who have gone through the program at Barnard. My oldest son is a US Marine and wants to become a Math teacher. My middle son is a Senior and my daughter is a Freshman, both at Mission Bay High. When I am not teaching, I enjoy knitting, reading, traveling, trying new things, and of course, cheering on the LA Dodgers.
My goal is to provide a positive learning environment where students become successful learners. By ensuring your child attends school daily and on time, practices reading, writing and math at home and completes homework assignments, you will play a big role in your child’s academic success. Together, we can teach your children the skills they need throughout their lives and instill a love for learning, but most importantly, prepare them for middle school.
