My name is Suzanne Lin Chin. I am your child's 2nd grade teacher here at Barnard Mandarin Magnet School. I was born in Taiwan and grew up in Singapore and Canada.
I completed my university education and teacher training at University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Education with two concentrations in teaching fine arts and foreign language, Mandarin. In 2006, I earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Here in California, I hold the Single Subject (Mandarin) and Multiple Subjects(Elementary School) teaching credentials as well as GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) certification. This will be my 20th year in public school teaching, and my 1st year teaching 2nd grade at Barnard.
Teaching is my passion and I especially enjoy teaching our children here at Barnard Elementary. They are bursting with so much enthusiasm and love for learning. Your child's learning is precious and important to me and I believe that every child can reach his/her potential.
I enjoy teaching very much and I look forward to learning with them everyday! I am happily married with two wonderful twin girls. In my free time, I enjoy cooking and spending time with my family!
